About Us:

Envirotech Geothermal is a leading provider of geothermal HVAC solutions, committed to excellence and innovation in the construction industry. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our accounting team for 18 months (possible transition to a full-time role). The successful candidate will be responsible for full cycle accounting but specifically managing and maintaining accurate project costing.

This role is integral to ensuring efficient financial operations and supporting informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Accurately record and allocate project costs, including labor, materials, and other expenses.

· Assist in preparing detailed reports on project profitability and budget performance.

· Identify and resolve discrepancies between project budgets and actual expenditures.

· Prepare, issue, and track progress billings for ongoing projects in accordance with contract terms.

· Collaborate with managers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing based on project milestones or percentage of completion.

· Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on payments to maintain cash flow.

· Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked, deductions, and tax withholdings.

· Maintain compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations and reporting requirements (employee withholdings, WCB, etc.)

· Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve any discrepancies.

· Ensure proper onboarding of new employees and maintain employee records, including tax forms, benefit enrollment, and direct deposit information.

· Utilize Dext receipt applications for efficient receipt tracking.

· Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payment.





· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any payment discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate AP records and assist with month-end closing processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Post-secondary degree / diploma, or recognized equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration

· Minimum 3 years bookkeeper experience in a construction-related position.

· Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with

· Working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, and Procore would be an asset.

· Ability to work independently and efficiently without supervision.

· Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external stakeholders.
