Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support a data-intensive web application used for operational workflows, project management, device information, and technical data analysis.

The successful candidate will work across a Python and Django backend, SQL and No-SQL databases, containerized services, and a Vue. This position requires someone who understands the full application lifecycle, from database design and API development to user interface implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.

Experience with data analytics, visualization, cloud services, or industrial data systems is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Develop secure REST APIs for frontend applications, integrations, and external clients.
- Maintain Django models, serializers, views, middleware, permissions, and administrative interfaces.
- Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access, and secure handling of sensitive application data.
- Support asynchronous and real-time application features using ASGI, WebSockets, Redis, and Django Channels.
- Diagnose and resolve application performance, reliability, and data-integrity issues.

Frontend Development
- Develop responsive and maintainable user interfaces using Vue 3 and modern JavaScript.
- Build reusable Vue components and manage application state using tools such as Pinia.
- Integrate frontend components with REST APIs and real-time services.
- Create interactive tables, dashboards, charts, and technical visualizations using libraries such as Chart.js or D3.
- Maintain consistent interface behaviour, accessibility, error handling, and browser compatibility.
- Support both modern Vue interfaces and existing server-rendered Django workflows where required.

Database Development
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, relationships, constraints, migrations, and data-access patterns.
- Develop productive queries and troubleshoot database performance.
- Apply appropriate indexing, transaction management, and query optimization practices.
- Maintain data integrity across operational, analytical, and reporting datasets.
- Support controlled database migrations, data imports, schema changes, and production upgrades.




- Investigate data inconsistencies and develop safe remediation procedures.

Containerization and Deployment
- Build and maintain Docker images and container-based development environments.
- Support container orchestration and deployment using Docker Compose, or comparable platforms.
- Manage environment-specific configuration, application entry points, health checks, and service dependencies.
- Troubleshoot application behaviour across development, test, staging, and production environments.

Data Analytics and Visualization
- Support workflows that transform operational data into reports, dashboards, and technical visualizations.
- Work with analysts and subject-matter experts to translate technical requirements into reliable application features.
- Experience working with time-series, geospatial, sensor, telemetry, or industrial datasets is an asset.

Quality and Operations
- Write and maintain unit, integration, component, and end-to-end tests.
- Use tools such as Pytest, Vitest, Selenium, or equivalent testing frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to coding standards, architecture decisions, and technical documentation.
- Monitor application health through structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
- Investigate production incidents and implement corrective and preventive improvements.
- Maintain API documentation, deployment instructions, development guides, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, maintainability, and developer productivity.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Two or more years of professional full-stack software development experience.
- Strong Python programming skills or professional experience with Django.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Experience developing frontend applications with Vue or a comparable JavaScript framework.




- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational data modelling, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience building and troubleshooting Docker containers is an asset.
- Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and common application design patterns.
- Experience with Git-based development, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience writing automated tests for backend and frontend functionality.
- Understanding of web application security, authentication, authorization, and secure configuration management.
- Ability to diagnose issues across frontend, backend, database, networking, and deployment layers.
- Strong written communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Vue 3, Vite, Pinia, Axios, Vitest, Chart.js, or D3.
- Experience with Django REST Framework, Django Channels, ASGI, WebSockets, and Redis.
- Experience with Azure Blob Storage, managed identity, application monitoring, or OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with container registries and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Experience with Prometheus metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, or production observability.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI and automated API documentation.
- Experience supporting applications that use multiple databases or externally managed database schemas.
