Pairenthesis is building the platform that lets anyone — not just data teams — make sense of their organization's data. We believe the next wave of enterprise AI won't be won by systems that simply generate answers. It will be won by platforms that can prove how an answer was produced.

We're a robust team deploying with federal and enterprise clients who need to make faster, better decisions from data they already have — without writing SQL, Python, or formulas. Our platform handles the cleaning, the analysis, the visualization, and the audit trail. The user just asks the question.

About the Role

You'll work across the full stack — frontend and backend — building features that real users rely on in production. This isn't a sandbox. The code you ship will be used by analysts, directors, and decision-makers who are seeing their data clearly for the first time.

We're looking for someone who's curious, builds quickly, and cares about craft. You'll be working directly with the founders, shipping weekly, and learning what it means to build software that people trust with consequential decisions.

What You'll Do

- Build and ship frontend features in React and Next.js — dashboards, query interfaces, data views, and interactive components
- Write backend logic in Python and TypeScript — API endpoints, data pipelines, ingestion workflows, and transformation logic
- Work with PostgreSQL — queries, schema design, and data modeling




- Collaborate on UX decisions — you'll see how real users interact with what you build and iterate based on what you learn
- Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews
- Help improve the platform's bilingual (English/French) experience where applicable
- Contribute ideas — in a team this small, your perspective shapes the product

What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in computer science, software engineering, or a related program
- Comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python preferred)
- Familiar with React or Next.js (or eager to learn quickly)
- Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
- You've built something — a side project, a class project, a hackathon entry — that you're proud of
- You communicate clearly and work well with a small, quick-moving team
- Genuine curiosity about how non-technical people interact with data and technology

Nice to Have
- Previous internship or co-op experience
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, Supabase, or Vercel
- Interest in data visualization, analytics, or AI
- Bilingual English/French
