Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Support residents with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met and dietary restrictions are respected.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and maintaining a safe workplace.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or disabilities, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.




- Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns promptly.
- Support residents’ participation in recreational activities and social engagement to promote mental well-being.

Qualifications

- Prior experience working as a PSW or in senior care, assisted living, or nursing home environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is an asset.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation efficiently.
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent is required; ongoing training in home care or senior care is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts.
