Key Responsibilities:
· Raise awareness of the Centre and its events within the community.
· Engage donors – individuals and corporate partners – to support DSSC operations and special events.
· Use respectful, ethical fundraising techniques that avoid undue pressure.
· Meet with potential supporters to discuss donation opportunities.
· Create and maintain a comprehensive and accurate list of supporters and donations.
· Safely and securely store donor information with strict confidentiality.
· Secure donated items (auction items, giveaways, prizes) in the fundraiser office.
· Immediately report and record all monetary donations and e-transfers, ensuring timely submission of cash donations to the cash office.
· Bring current fundraising ideas to the event planning team for review and implementation.
· Plan and execute fundraising events as directed by the planning team.
· Track event costs and revenues for monthly reporting.
· Stay informed about the Centre’s financial needs and fundraising priorities.
· Support promotion and advertising of special events and fundraisers.
· Uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and community representation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing.
· Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to lead, motivate and inspire volunteers and supporters.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and plan events effectively.
· Passion for DSSC’s mission and senior community support.
· Self-motivated, personable and professional.
· Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
· Eligible to work in Canada.
· Basic computer skills are considered an asset.
