We are seeking reliable, friendly, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Gas Station & Convenience Store Attendants at our new location in Matheson, Ontario.

The Gas Station Attendant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the day-to-day operation of the convenience store and fuel station. This includes operating the cash register, assisting customers, stocking and merchandising products, receiving deliveries, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring the fuel area, and completing general shift duties.

We are looking for individuals who are dependable, comfortable working independently, and willing to take initiative to keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and operating efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process cash, debit, credit, and other transactions accurately
- Complete cash counts and shift reconciliation as required
- Assist customers with purchases, fuel-related questions, and general inquiries
- Stock shelves, coolers, displays, and other merchandise
- Receive, unpack, verify, and organize product deliveries
- Rotate products and monitor expiry dates
- Ensure products are properly priced and displayed
- Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked merchandise displays
- Monitor inventory levels and advise management when products or supplies are running low
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the convenience store
- Clean and regularly inspect customer washrooms
- Maintain cleanliness around fuel pumps, entrances,



parking areas, garbage areas, and other exterior spaces
- Empty garbage and recycling as required
- Complete routine cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the shift
- Monitor the fuel station and report spills, equipment issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity immediately
- Follow proper procedures for fuel spills and emergency situations
- Complete opening and/or closing duties as assigned
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling, refunds, discounts, age-restricted products, and loss prevention
- Monitor for theft, suspicious activity, and inventory shrinkage
- Follow all applicable health and safety requirements
- Complete required shift checklists and documentation
- Communicate maintenance, inventory, customer, or operational concerns to management
- Assist coworkers and management as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Perform other duties as required

Qualifications
- Previous retail, convenience store, gas station, cashier, or customer service experience is considered an asset
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system
- Robust attention to detail




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to clean, stock merchandise, and perform general physical duties
- Ability to remain organized and productive during both busy and slower periods
- Ability to follow procedures and take direction
- Honest, dependable, and responsible
- Comfortable dealing with the public in a professional manner
- Ability to identify tasks that need to be completed and take initiative without constant supervision

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, stock shelves, and perform routine cleaning duties
- Ability to lift and move boxes, merchandise, and supplies as required
- Ability to perform some duties outdoors in varying weather conditions

Availability Applicants should have flexible availability. Depending on operational requirements, shifts may include:
- Days
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Holidays
- Early mornings and/or overnight shifts

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
