Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled General Maintenance technician to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our building and facilities. This role offers an exciting prospect to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance expertise in a dynamic setting. As a key team member, you will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives to keep our operations running efficiently.

Duties

- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on guest rooms, machinery, equipment, and facility systems to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Utilize Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, schedule maintenance tasks, and document repairs.
- Collaborate with operational departments to coordinate downtime schedules and prioritize urgent repairs for minimal impact on operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, schematics, parts inventories, and safety compliance documentation.
- Support facilities management by ensuring cleanliness, safety protocols are followed, and building systems operate efficiently.
- Foster excellent customer service by addressing internal and external client needs promptly and professionally.

Qualifications





- College, equivalent work experience or min. 5 years’ experience in related field.
- Basic working knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical system, leisure and building equipment’s operations.
- Previous technical or trade certification is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Analytical skills to gather information to do tasks.
- Concentration is required when working at heights and during repairs to ensure and safe maintenance is carried out.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe usage.
- Lifts heavy items (greater than 30 pounds) several times daily.
- Works in confines spaces, awkward positions.
- Majority of daily tasks are performed throughout the hotel.
- Works with constant interruptions.
- Must be flexible and available for working various shifts and timings throughout the week and weekends due to the nature of the operation.

Pay: $26.00-$33.00 per hour
