About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its economic development organization. The CEO will be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight, administration, and strategic execution, ensuring that the organization's activities drive sustainable economic growth and align with the community's values and strategic goals. This includes serving as the lead negotiator for various agreements and partnerships. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, strategic, and values-driven leader, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. capable of building trusted partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities for the CEO include internal team leadership, operations management, joint economic venture and management, fisheries department support, and financial governance. The role requires a leader who can mentor and lead a diverse team, provide oversight to seasonal staff, and actively manage joint venture agreements. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the ability to navigate complex governance and business environments, identify and advance strategic opportunities, and inspire confidence through transparent leadership and principled decision-making.
