Construction Helper

Franco Corporation has 1 available full time permanent position of “Construction Helper” in Edmonton, Alberta. Wages will begin at $28.50 per hour and $42.75 per hour for overtime. The location of work varies within Edmonton upon various contracts. Some on-the-job training will be provided. Construction experience would be an asset. CSTS Construction Safety Certificate is required.

Employment consists of but are not limited to:

- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures




- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
- Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed
