The Opportunity:

Point Grey Golf & Country Club is seeking Seasonal Golf Services Team Members to join our team and help create an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Reporting to the Golf Services Manager, Golf Services Team Members play an important role in the day-to-day golf experience, providing friendly, attentive service from the moment guests arrive at the Club.

The ideal candidate is outgoing, detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for others.

Wage: $18.25/hour

Availability: This is a seasonal position starting as soon as possible and continuing through December, with the potential for an extension. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

- Retrieve, handle, and store golf bags.
- Clean and label clubs.
- Stock carts with pencils, scorecards, name cards, and keys.
- Address questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Organize clubs and golf equipment in accordance with department standards.
- Resolve minor issues quickly and effectively.
- Document cart damage and engage in general maintenance.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of events hosted at the club.
- Ensure the staging areas and Backshop are kept neat and tidy.




- Pick up and deliver golf bags to the bag drop and practice facilities.
- Set up and supervise practice facilities.
- Pick up and clean practice balls.
- Wash, refill, organize, and park all golf carts for use by members and guests.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate excellent punctuality and willingness to work.
- Contribute to building a positive team culture.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all members of staff.
- Adhere to the safety standards set by the course.
- Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance in alignment with club standards.

Qualifications:

- Prior golf experience or golf-related knowledge is an asset.
- 1-2 years of previous customer service experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help with a wide range of tasks.
- Superior communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting over 30 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to work flexible hours of work, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to operate vehicles, such as power carts, preferred.
