Job Title: Graphics & Social Media Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Marketing and Branding
Position Type: Full-Time (Season-Long Contract)
The Kitchener Rangers are seeking a highly creative, organized and skilled graphic designer and social media coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating graphic content that brings the Rangers brand to life across our digital platforms, while also managing the day-to-day publishing and execution of social media content.
The primary focus of this role will be the development and production of high-quality graphics for social media, marketing campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, game days, community programs and other organizational needs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring graphics and other approved content are properly scheduled and published across the Rangers' social media channels.
A significant component of this position is game-day social media execution. The successful candidate must be available for all Kitchener Rangers home and away games throughout the season, including playoffs as required. On game days, they will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate social media coverage, including game-day graphics, starting lineups, scores, intermission updates, goal graphics/GIFs and video content as required.

This role will primarily be based out of our office at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, with some travel required for away games and other events as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the design and production of static graphic assets using the Kitchener Rangers brand kit. These assets include social media graphics, marketing campaigns, sponsorship campaigns, brand programs, ticketing initiatives, community programs, merchandise promotions, print materials and other organizational needs.
- Develop visually compelling and engaging static graphics that maintain a consistent Kitchener Rangers brand identity across all platforms.
- Create game-day graphics, including game-day announcements, opponent graphics, starting lineups, score updates, intermission graphics, final score graphics, milestone graphics and other game-related content.
- Manage and execute the Rangers' social media posting schedule, ensuring approved content is published accurately, consistently and on time across X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
- Take primary responsibility for social media posting and content execution during all home and away games, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
- Manage live game-day social media coverage, including posting lineups, scoring updates, intermission updates, final scores, game information and other timely content.
- Publish goal graphics, GIFs and/or video content during games as necessary, working with the organization's video and communications resources where applicable.
- Work closely with the Marketing, Communications, and Video teams to ensure game-day content is coordinated, accurate and delivered across platforms promptly.
- Schedule and publish graphics and other approved content outside of game days, ensuring the Rangers maintain a consistent and engaging presence across social media.
- Collaborate with the Marketing, Communications, and Sales teams to develop graphic assets that support organizational priorities and initiatives.
- Create graphics for sponsor activations, partnerships and campaigns while ensuring all assets meet established brand and sponsorship requirements.
- Maintain a consistent Rangers brand identity across all digital and print channels and ensure all graphics adhere to established brand guidelines.
- Assist with the development of creative concepts and ideas for campaigns, promotions, social media initiatives and fan engagement opportunities.
- Monitor social media channels and assist with managing fan engagement and feedback in coordination with the Communications team.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform features, graphic design trends and best practices to continually enhance the Rangers' digital presence.
- Maintain the organized library on the Rangers server of graphic templates, brand assets and design files to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Assist with other graphic design, social media and marketing responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Communications, Digital Media or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of static graphic design projects. Sports industry experience is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop,
Illustrator and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of graphic design principles, typography, composition, layout and visual storytelling.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly X, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
- Experience using social media management and scheduling platforms is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of sports, particularly hockey, and a passion for sports marketing and digital content.
- Experience working in a rapid-paced, deadline-driven workplace where accuracy and speed are critical.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when producing time-sensitive game-day content such as lineups, scores, player names and statistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and foster strong working relationships.
- Must be well-organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and respond quickly to changing priorities.
- Relentless worker who possesses a team-first, positive attitude.
- Critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, strategic planning and time management skills are critical.
- Experience within the OHL / CHL or professional sports environment is considered an asset.
Other Considerations:
- The successful candidate must be available for all Kitchener Rangers home and away games throughout the 2026–2027 season, including playoffs as required. This includes evenings, weekends and holidays based on the team's schedule.
- The candidate will primarily work out of our office at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium.
- Access to a car and a valid driver's license is required.

Expected hours: 40 per week (September 2026 – April 2027)
Pay: $4,000.00-$4,375.00 per month
