Position Description

We currently have an exciting Part time role for a Ground Attendant for our Wildwood Transfer Station in Williams Lake. Work days are from 8.00am- 6.00pm Sunday through Tuesday, hours and days vary in Winter months from October thru March. Must be able to work alone.

Position Responsibilities

- Interacting with the public
- Educating and directing the public on how to recycle and/or where to dispose of waste
- Maintain cleanliness of the site clean and ensure safe to operate in
- Ensure recycling is ready for pick up
- Always work safely and attend all tailgate and safety meetings
- Working out in different environments
- Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

- Positive attitude
- Comfortable dealing with the public (experience an asset)
- Experience operating equipment (backhoe or similar equipment an asset)
- Successful candidate must be physically fit, as this position requires time on your feet and may require heavy lifting
- Backhoe experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Any experience in recycling an asset but not required as on the job training will be provided.
- Proven ability to work independently while being a team player
- Other duties may be assigned
