Role Overview The Groundsman plays a vital role in supporting our climbers and equipment operators during daily tree care operations. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, values teamwork, and wants to build a career in the tree care industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist climbers and crew leaders with tree removals, pruning, and clean-up.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, wood chippers, and stump grinders (training provided).
- Handle ropes, rigging, and ground operations safely and efficiently.
- Load, move, and chip brush, branches, and logs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.




- Communicate clearly with the team to ensure smooth and safe workflow.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fueling, sharpening, cleaning).

Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in landscaping, forestry, or outdoor labor is an asset (not required—training provided).
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable working with tools and machinery in a safe manner.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and work ethic.
- Safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Chainsaw Safety, Fall Protection) are an asset, but not mandatory at hiring.
