Advertek is expanding to Burlington and is looking for an experienced Guillotine Cutter Operator to join our production team.

Working in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, you'll operate precision paper cutting equipment to prepare printed materials for finishing and shipment. This role is critical to ensuring every product meets exact specifications while maintaining efficient production flow and the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate programmable guillotine cutters to trim printed materials to precise specifications.
- Interpret job tickets, layouts, and production instructions to ensure accurate cutting.
- Verify stock sizes, grain direction, and cutting sequences prior to production.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and company standards.
- Monitor cutting accuracy and make adjustments as required throughout production runs.
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, blade changes, and basic preventative maintenance.
- Safely move paper skids and finished products using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.
- Minimize waste by maximizing sheet utilization and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area while following all health and safety procedures.

Qualifications





- Previous experience operating industrial guillotine paper cutters in a commercial printing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with Polar, Wohlenberg, Schneider, or similar programmable cutting equipment is considered an asset.
- Ability to accurately read production specifications and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good mathematical and measurement skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
- Comfortable lifting materials and working in a manufacturing environment.
