Shape a proactive safety culture with the City of Brandon as an Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator. Engage employees, lead initiatives, and ensure compliance in a full time role. As an Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator, you will oversee corporate safety strategies while managing a dedicated safety team.
This leadership role focuses on compliance with Manitoba’s safety regulations, employee engagement, and fostering a safe workplace culture. You’ll also provide essential training to enhance safety across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate corporate safety philosophy
- Supervise and mentor safety staff effectively
- Lead corporate safety initiatives and change management
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba's Safety and Health Legislation
- Prepare and present safety reports to stakeholders Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent educational background
- Minimum five years' experience in Workplace Safety and Health
- Hold valid Intermediate/Standard First Aid certification
- Minimum three years' supervisory experience
- Class 5 Manitoba Driver's license Drive health and safety initiatives, compliance training, and employee engagement at the City of Brandon.
