Reporting to the Director, Mental Health & Addictions, and working as part of a collaborative leadership team, the Health Services Manager will contribute to policy development, quality initiatives, service standardization, and resource management. The HSM will support the team in achieving the Accreditation Standards and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

The Health Services Manager (HSM) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for interprofessional health services team. The HSM will be responsible for day-to-day clinical operations, standards of care, and maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

The Health Services Manager exhibits sound skilled judgment and initiative while working within the framework and objectives of the Mental Health and Addictions Program and the Mission and Vision and Strategic Directions of Nova Scotia Health, and incorporates into daily practice the Core Competencies and Values of Nova Scotia Health’s Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Leadership.

About

You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Bachelors Degree from a health related discipline

Master's degree or Leadership certificate an asset

Minimum five (5) years recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment

Minimum five (5)



years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio

Must be registered with the relevant health discipline college/association

Previous leadership/management experience an asset

Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to successfully change, adapt, overcome, and cope with unexpected challenges

Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work

Requires a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction

Demonstrates high degrees of independent decision making, motivation, creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and change management knowledge

Proven and highly developed leadership skills including vision, self-awareness, relationship and team building skills, and communication skills

Travel may be required

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Scale Type: ManagementBand: MGT06Hourly Rate: $53.59 - $65.65

Annual Salary: $104,498 - $128,010
