Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care is a 315-bed academic and teaching hospital that provides specialized mental health, addiction and geriatric care. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay, we serve some of the most complex and disadvantaged individuals in Ontario and are the sole provider of high-secure forensic mental health services in the province.

The Health System Integration (HSI) department is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of cross-sector partnerships and the execution of system integration and improvement opportunities and projects. These projects and opportunities include (but are not limited to) integrated pathways of care, coordinating access for mental health and addictions care, and supporting the delivery of services to those who are homeless/marginally housed.

The Health Systems Integration Specialist will work closely with health system partners, senior leaders and funders to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and care quality. They will lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and shape evidence-based practices, protocols, or digital health transformations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Engage stakeholders, including persons with lived expertise, to design improvement initiatives pertaining to system access and integration.
- Work directly with local and regional mental health and addictions providers to support identifying and implementing evidence-based tools and assessment instruments
- Support the identification of digital/ technological enablers to support the improvement of access to mental health and addictions services.
- Lead the development of effective stakeholder engagement and communications, including facilitating diverse groups of internal and/or external stakeholders from organizations across the region and/or province.
- Synthesize research, literature reviews, data analysis, and stakeholder input to develop evidence-informed reports, recommendations, and communications that support strategic decision-making, project planning, and the adoption of leading practices.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects by developing and maintaining project charters, work plans, schedules, communications, and change management strategies
- Foster an innovative, inclusive and team-oriented work environment; provide effective coaching, motivation and guidance while leading working groups throughout the project life cycle.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in healthcare or a related field. A graduate degree in a healthcare related field is considered an asset.
- Experience in the area of mental health and addictions is required.
- Experience with integrated health system design,



planning and implementation is required.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in a hospital setting or other healthcare context is required.
- Robust project management skills, attention to detail with a focus on strategic planning, and delivering on contract requirements.
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Models and promotes core ethical practice and Waypoint Values (Caring, Respect, Accountability, Innovation)
- Preference for proficiency in French/English language skills.
