TEEMA is supporting BC Hydro in the search for Construction Officers to support major transmission, substation, and hydroelectric projects across Northern BC.

This role will act as BC Hydro's in office representative, overseeing construction activities, coordinating contractors, inspecting work, supporting contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to BC Hydro standards.

Requirements

- Diploma of Technology (Civil/Structural or Electrical) or equivalent related education/trades background
- 7+ years of construction experience
- Strong knowledge of substations, transmission lines, hydro facilities,



or utility infrastructure projects
- Experience with construction inspections, contractor coordination, and contract administration
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand testing, surveying, planning, and costing requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and construction practices
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driver's abstract

- Shift work required (14/7 or 5/2 schedules)
- Background Check and Drug & Alcohol Testing required
