Castlemainsupports people and communities to understand and access class action settlements and community programs through clear, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded communication. With more than 200 team members, many of whom are Indigenous, we deliver services in English, French, and several Indigenous languages across the country. This role focusesmainly ontheFirst Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan’s Principle Settlement .The settlementis aimed at compensating those harmed by discriminatory underfunding of the First Nations Child and Family Services Program, as well as thoseimpactedby the federal government’s narrow interpretation of Jordan’s Principle. Nine Classes are included in this Settlement. Each of the nine Classes is unique and will have its own Claims Process thatrequiresapproval by the Federal Court. The Claims Period for each Class will open inphasesand we are currently supporting the first two Classes. Castlemain’srole in implementing theSettlement is to provide navigational supports to Class Members in the Claims Process. Our guidingobjectivesare to ensure that every Class Memberhas the opportunity toaccess, understand and respond to the Settlement Agreement notice, as well as to receive the necessaryassistancefor completing andsubmittingtheir claims. We are dedicated to ensuring Class Members are well-informedabout the wellness support and resources available to them. AsaProject Manager , youwill support the delivery ofthe Settlementacross workstreamsbyapplyingfoundational project management knowledgethroughintegrated project plans,timelinesandrisk mitigation across all project stages. You willremovebarriers,identify,and manageinterdependenciesto ensure alignment and progress towards shared project goals.
