Trail Tire Heavy Duty is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Service Advisor to join our growing team in Sherwood Park.
We operate a busy heavy-duty truck and trailer repair facility servicing commercial fleets throughout the Edmonton area. We are looking for someone who understands the heavy-duty repair industry, communicates well with customers and technicians, and takes ownership of getting jobs from initial booking through to completion and invoicing.
This is an important position within our operation. The right person will help keep the shop organized, technicians productive, customers informed, and work moving efficiently.
Responsibilities
As a Heavy Duty Service Advisor, you will:
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs, maintenance and service requirements
- Open and manage work orders from start to finish
- Gather accurate information when units arrive and clearly document customer concerns
- Prepare estimates and obtain customer approvals
- Coordinate workflow with the Shop Foreman and technicians
- Monitor jobs throughout the repair process and keep work moving
- Provide customers with timely updates on repair status, costs and completion times
- Review technician notes and ensure work orders are properly documented
- Identify additional repair and maintenance opportunities
- Ensure labour, parts and outside services are properly captured and billed
- Work with the parts department to ensure required parts are identified and available
- Schedule incoming work while considering shop capacity and technician availability
- Follow up on outstanding estimates and customer approvals
- Review completed work orders for accuracy before invoicing
- Help maintain strong long-term relationships with our fleet customers
- Contribute to improving shop productivity, efficiency and profitability
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:
- 2–5 years of service advisor experience, preferably in heavy-duty truck, trailer, equipment or commercial automotive repair
- Good understanding of mechanical repair terminology and shop operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, customers and management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple active work orders and priorities
- Experience preparing estimates and discussing repair recommendations with customers
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing work orders and invoices
- Confidence making decisions and taking ownership of customer concerns
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced shop environment
- Basic computer and work-order management system experience
Heavy-duty mechanical or technician experience is considered a strong asset but is not required.
Compensation
$72,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
We are also developing a performance-based bonus program designed to reward strong department performance, growth, efficiency, customer service and profitability.

Trail Tire Heavy Duty is a full-service commercial truck and trailer repair operation serving Sherwood Park, Edmonton and the surrounding area. Our services include heavy-duty mechanical repair, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, truck and trailer repair, commercial tire service and CVIP inspections.
We are continuing to grow our Heavy Duty operation and are looking for people who want to take ownership of their position and help build a strong, efficient and customer-focused service department.

Pay: $72,000–$90,000 per year
