MacDonald Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd. is looking for a Licensed Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic to join our growing service team. We are seeking a skilled technician who is confident diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, with the required certifications to perform mandatory government safety inspections.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, and braking systems
- Perform government-mandated safety inspections in accordance with New Brunswick regulations
- Identify safety concerns and ensure vehicles meet required inspection standards
- Complete inspection reports and required documentation accurately
- Communicate repair requirements and recommendations to the Service Department
- Follow manufacturer specifications and all applicable safety regulations
Qualifications
- Red Seal Heavy-Duty Truck and Trailer Technician certification or equivalent experience
- Valid New Brunswick certification/authorization to perform mandatory commercial motor vehicle safety inspections
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks
- Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently
- Valid Class 5 driver's license or higher
- Commercial vehicle inspection experience is required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
