High School English Teacher

Location: William Academy – Cobourg Campus

William Academy at Cobourg Campus is seeking a High School English Teacher at the senior level to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to supporting diverse learners in an engaging, student-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging lessons in English that meet curriculum expectations and foster student success.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies, creative tools, and digital platforms to enhance student involvement and learning outcomes.
- Adapt instructional methods to support the diverse needs of international and local students.
- Assess and evaluate student progress in alignment with Growing Success guidelines.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom workplace.




- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and administrators to contribute to the school’s academic and community goals.

Qualifications & Skills

- Experience teaching English at the high school level.
- Experience teaching international students at the high school level is beneficial.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience teaching international students is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office & OneDrive, Zoom and Moodle
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Education

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:
- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- OCT (preferred)
