Vital Care USA
Canada
Vital Care USA is a fast growing online home medical equipment retailer serving customers across the United States. We sell power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, lift chairs, and portable oxygen concentrators, the products that decide whether someone gets to keep living independently in their own home. We operate a national e-commerce store alongside a physical showroom in Iowa, and we're building toward becoming one of the largest online HME retailers in the country.
Every customer you speak to has already raised their hand. There is no cold calling in this role. Our marketing puts warm, in-market buyers on the phone with us every day, and the entire outcome of the business rests on what happens in those conversations.
You'll own those conversations end to end — first call, discovery, recommendation, quote, objections, close, and follow-through to a delivered order. You'll work directly with the founders, and you'll step into an established sales process with training, documentation, and recorded calls behind it rather than being handed a phone and wished luck.
To be direct about the bar: we are not looking for a customer-service person willing to learn sales, and we are not looking for someone who needs a script read to them. We're looking for a genuinely excellent consultative closer who wants a seat where their skill directly moves the revenue of the business. Roles & Responsibilities
Own the full inbound sales cycle across both product lines (mobility and oxygen) from first contact through to a closed, shipped, and completed order
Respond to new inbound leads within minutes, not hours; how fast you get to a lead is a tracked and non-negotiable part of this role
Run genuine consultative discovery on every call: understand the person's situation, who's actually using the equipment, who's paying, who else is involved in the decision
Recommend the right product, present pricing, options, and financing clearly with confidence, correctly sized and configured to the customer's body, home, and daily use
Handle the objections that actually come up in this market
Own your pipeline: every conversation logged accurately, every follow-up scheduled, nothing left sitting for weeks
Work a disciplined follow-up cadence across calls, texts, and email Sit for regular call reviews and coaching with the founders, act on the specific fixes that come out of them, and show up sharper the following week
Feed the process back: flag what's breaking, what information is missing, which objections we're consistently losing on, and what would make the offer stronger
Coordinate with operations on orders, delivery expectations, and post-sale issues so the customer experience holds up after the close What You Offer (Requirements)
Proven experience personally closing over the phone in a consultative, considered-purchase sale: ideally 2–3+ years, though demonstrated results matter far more than years on paper A track record you can speak to specifically: what your close rate was, what it was measured against, what your volume looked like, and what you personally did to move it
Native or fully fluent English with excellent phone presence — warmth, energy, clear pacing, and the ability to build trust quickly with an older customer and their adult children
Genuine comfort selling high-ticket items to seniors and their families with patience and no pressure tactics, while still asking for the decision
Strong discovery instincts — you pin down vague answers, and you can tell the difference between a buyer who's ready, a buyer who's researching, and a buyer who's stuck on something they haven't said out loud
Unprompted discipline with a CRM and a follow-up system
Comfort being measured daily on close rate, response time, and pipeline health, and being coached directly against those numbers
Self-directed in a remote environment — able to start on time, work a full pipeline, and be trusted without supervision
Located in Canada and able to work US business hours Nice to Have
Experience in home medical equipment, DME, mobility, respiratory, or another healthcare-adjacent consumer product
Experience in high-ticket e-commerce or any considered purchase in the several-thousand-dollar range
Experience navigating Shopify or similar eCommerce tools
Experience training, coaching, or reviewing calls for other reps
Comfort using modern AI tools to speed up research, call prep, and product knowledge Tools & Platforms
Quo (formerly OpenPhone) for calls and SMS, our in-house CRM, an internal AI-powered product knowledge tool used live on calls, Shopify, Google Workspace, Slack, and WhatsApp.
What Success Looks
Like
You're closing warm inbound leads at a rate at or above our team target, consistently and month over month
Leads hear from you within minutes of coming in, every time, without anyone having to check
Customers get the right piece of equipment for their actual situation, which shows up as low returns and customers who refer their friends and family
Nothing rots in your pipeline — every lead is either moving forward, closed, or honestly marked dead, with a reason we can learn from
Families trust you on the phone quickly, and that trust is why they buy from us instead of the cheaper listing they found somewhere else
You're bringing us better ways to sell this product before anyone asks you to
Revenue from inbound leads is visibly higher because you're the one taking the calls What We Offer
Fully remote (Canada), working US business hours (9-5pm CST)
Base salary plus uncapped commission for the profit on every completed order.
Performance bonuses on top of commission
100% inbound, warm leads. No cold calling, no list building, no prospecting required.
Mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and leadership, working closely with the founders An established sales process with training, documentation, and recorded calls to learn from
Clear growth path with increasing ownership and responsibility, including into Leadership roles
Flexible paid time off Work Setting
As a remote-first company, Vital Care USA is built for high performance and flexibility. We move fast, we change what isn't working, and we expect people to raise problems rather than absorb them quietly. We value people who are outcome-driven, resourceful, direct, and execution-oriented. We're also selling to people at a vulnerable moment in their lives. Honesty is a must - overselling someone equipment that doesn't fit them costs us the order, the return, and the trust. How to Apply
You will be asked to include your resume and a few lines on your actual sales record: what you sold, at what price point, and your close rate or quota attainment in your last two roles — including what it was measured against. We weigh what you've personally closed far more heavily than years of experience or resume pedigree, so be specific. Real numbers with context tell us more than a cover letter ever will.
Equal
Opportunity
Vital Care USA is an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
