Overview

We are seeking a caregiver to provide home support for a vibrant 82‑year‑old woman. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, respectful, and patient and family‑centered care that supports safety, comfort, dignity, and independence. Care will be provided in a home workplace, with an emphasis on assisting with daily living activities, companionship, and promoting quality of life.

Responsibilities

- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility

- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping

- Observe, document, and report changes in condition or behaviour

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with the care plan

- Follow individualized care plan

- Use proper lifting, transferring, and infection‑control techniques

- Communicate respectfully with the client, family members, and care coordinators

- Adhere to PHIPA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality

Requirements





- Experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes preferred

- Must have: General Liability Insurance, Police Vulnerable Sector Check, First Aid & CPR certification.

- Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control best practices

- Knowledge of PHIPA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition or behavior

- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and able to work independently

- Physically able to perform job duties safely

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare team, client, and family members effectively

- Available days, evenings, weekends.

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
