JV Telecom Inc. is seeking an experienced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) subcontractor to join our growing team for fibre optic installation projects in the Calgary & Chestermere area. We are looking for reliable, safety-focused contractors who take pride in quality work and can meet project timelines.

Scope of Work

- Horizontal directional drilling for fibre optic drop installation
- Set up, drilling, pull-backs, and site cleanup
- Reading locates, plans, and utility drawings
- Coordinating with JV Telecom crews on-site
- Maintaining protected, organized, and compliant work areas

Requirements

- Proven experience in HDD for telecom or utilities
- Own HDD equipment, tooling, and support vehicles
- Valid business registration and WCB coverage
- Commercial liability insurance
- Knowledge of underground utility locates and Alberta safety standards
- Strong communication and reliability
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Must have ground disturbance level 2

Assets (Nice to Have)

- Experience with fibre optic infrastructure projects




- Local Calgary-area experience
- Ability to handle both short and long bores
