PCSA Handbook

Performs floor cleaning, stripping and waxing, wall washing, curtain hanging, laundry and garbage pickups, office cleaning, furniture moves and other related duties as assigned by the Hospitality Manager or designate. The incumbent participates in team meetings, recommends changes and improvements for the department and assists other employees as required.

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent education. A Building Service Worker certificate is preferred.



Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or other institutional facility is desirable. Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English. Must be capable of lifting up to 50lb. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy and dynamic environment. Must be adaptable and able to adapt to changing routines.

Requirements:

A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.

A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
