The Courtyard by Marriott Burlington is now looking for Housekeeping Associates to join our team. One of the newest hotel to the Burlington/Oakville region features 135 guestrooms and suites with 1800 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, indoor salt-water pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and on-site Bistro Restaurant, Lounge & Patio Your warm personality, work ethics and excellent customer service skills will reflect how our guests perceive the hotel. Responsibilities

- Clean and service assigned rooms and areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash etc.
- Handle and store chemicals in line with hotel regulations and any local legislative requirements
- Be aware of and ensure adherence to the Hotel’s policy regarding security of bedrooms and master keys




- Report guest issues to the appropriate department
- Deal with guest requests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner
- Work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with colleagues assisting where necessary to develop team spirit and to achieve standards of work and guest care as required by Hotel policy
- Maintain standards of punctuality, uniform and personal hygiene as required by Hotel policy
- Follow all safety and security procedures and regulations while performing daily duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management (laundry, public areas, etc.)

Qualification

- Minimum one (1) years’ experience in housekeeping department of a focused service or full-service hotel preferred
- Proven cleaning ability with full attention to details
- Approachable, pleasant, polite, quick
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products an asset
- Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to understand both oral and written English
- Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
