As our HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in nurturing an organizational culture deeply rooted in the philosophy of Gentle Teaching—ensuring our incredible staff feel safe, valued, and fully engaged from their very first day.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Orientation: Coordinate and help to deliver warm, comprehensive general orientation and onboarding sessions to introduce new hires to agency protocols and our core values.
- Recruitment Support: Assist the HR team by updating job descriptions, posting open ads on job boards, and conducting positive, encouraging initial candidate screenings.
- HRIS Administration: Maintain accurate digital employee information profiles, track mandatory certifications, and manage internal documentation using our Human Resources Information System (Humi).
- Attendance Coordination: Help Payroll Administrator to log employee attendance data regularly to ensure timely, precise payroll processing.
- Internal Communication: Draft uplifting company memos, update information channels, and coordinate staff meetings to keep our team connected and well-informed.
- Employee Engagement:
Assist in organizing vibrant team-building events, employee appreciation initiatives, and community activities that foster a sense of belonging.
- Collaborative Support: Work directly alongside the HR Manager to manage daily administrative workflows, respond promptly to internal queries, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: A recent diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field of study.
- Philosophical Alignment: A strong personal resonance with Gentle Teaching principles, demonstrating a natural ability to use affirming words, a supportive presence, and an empathetic mindset to build trust.
- Communication & Tech Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside proficiency with standard computer software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and an aptitude for learning HR software.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong attention to detail and time-management capabilities, allowing you to balance daily tasks calmly and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a mandatory Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to starting.
