Role Description The Human Resources Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid (in office/remote) role based in North York, ON, supporting the firm’s growing team and ensuring a positive, compliant workplace. This position coordinates day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding and offboarding processes,
maintaining employee records, and supporting performance management and training initiatives.
The Human Resources
Coordinator supports employee relations by helping address workplace concerns, promoting engagement initiatives, and reinforcing company policies and procedures. This role collaborates closely with leadership and staff to ensure HR practices align with firm values, legal requirements, and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in law firms is a mandatory requirement.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a combination of education and real-life experience will be considered. CHRP or similar designation is an asset.
- Candidates should possess skills in HR Management and Human Resources (HR) to support core HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in Employee Relations to help foster a respectful, inclusive work environment and support conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of HR Policies to ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal guidelines.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with HRIS and MS Office tools.
- Skills in Benefits Administration to coordinate employee benefits, manage enrollments, and address related questions is an asset.
- Familiarity with Ontario employment standards, is advantageous.
