Junior HVAC Mechanic

Location: Sudbury, Ontario

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: 20-30/hour

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4 @10 hour shifts / Full-Time / On-Call as required

About the Position

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Junior HVAC Mechanic to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and experience in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry while working alongside experienced technicians.

The successful candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and/or commercial HVAC equipment. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, takes pride in their work, and is committed to providing quality service to our customers.

Responsibilities

- Assist senior HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of heating and cooling systems.
- Assist with the installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation equipment, and related systems.
- Complete routine maintenance and inspections.
- Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Complete service paperwork and job documentation as required.
- Continue developing HVAC knowledge and technical skills through hands-on training.

Qualifications
- Previous HVAC experience is an asset, but training will be provided to the right candidate.




- HVAC/R schooling or apprenticeship experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's licence is preferred.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift equipment and work in various environments, including attics, basements, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
- a trade license (sheet metal mechanic, refrigeration mechanic, gas technician, oil burner mechanic)
