Raise is currently hiring a Hydrocarbon Reconciliation Analyst on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client is a globally competitive integrated energy company that extracts, produces and provides energy from a mix of sources, ranging from oil sands to renewable fuels. Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description We are looking for an Analyst to be a key player in tracking and representing refined product movements and inventory. Dive into a dynamic role with broad exposure to logistics management, commodity scheduling, terminal operations, and finance accounting. As a Hydrocarbon Reconciliation Analyst, you will be responsible for reconciling refined products inventory items across revenue and expense terminals nationwide. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure physical inventory and transactions are represented accurately and timely in the ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Daily Inventory Reconciliation: Execute daily transactional inventory reconciliations for distribution terminals across Canada, ensuring physical transactions and movements are accurately and timely reflected in the ERP system of record.
- Variance Investigation:
Analyze abnormal stock variations, lead troubleshooting, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (terminal staff, front office, accounting, and settlements) to resolve and actualize discrepancies.
- Compliance & Month-End: Perform daily and monthly compliance requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, contributing to an accurate and effective month-end close process.
- KPI Achievement: Contribute to achieving and exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) impacting overall business and operational outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work across functions to resolve customer and supplier inventory variances, providing class-leading support that enables front office and customer-facing stakeholders to grow and optimize our refined products portfolio.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in reconciliation, inventory management, or accounting.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori, specifically as it pertains to hydrocarbon material movements and logistics.
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, with familiarity utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform for data analysis and process improvement.
- Self-motivated with a continuous development and improvement mindset,
actively seeking to close variances and implement preventative controls.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to successfully navigate deal cycle stakeholders from the front office through to settlements.
- Education and Certifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or another applicable field of study.
