Key Responsibilities and Duties
Complete understanding and application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines.
Provides solutions to a wide range of complex problems under general direction. Determines and develops approach to solutions.
Ability to work with clients, suppliers and and contractors and assist in field work, investigation and support start-up and commissioning activities for clients
Work closely with other discipline Engineers, Designers and Project Managers as a key team player within an integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery team
Design and specification development for controls and instrumentation systems with focus on DCS & PLC systems.
Design and specification of instrumentation and process control devices for various processes.
Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and project documentation in accordance with COOEC QA/QC programs Qualifications:
8+ years of I&C; design experience in oil & gas industry is required
Experience with using SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) is required
Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multi-discipline setting
Experience with PLC & DCS system design
Experience with electrical related devices such as: MCC, VFD, EHT
Experience with F&G; devices and system
Experience with DeltaV DCS and CHARMS
Understand instrumentation layouts and field drawings is required
Experience in developing wiring diagrams and loop diagrams is required
Field experience and experience in developing turnaround packages and providing turnaround support is preferred
Comply with all company procedures, engineering practices and other standards.
