Become a vital part of School District 71 as a Senior Custodian working the AM shift. This role ensures a clean and protected environment for students and staff through effective custodial management.
This temporary position offers 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, ending August 31, 2027, or upon the return of the incumbent. Ideal candidates will have a Grade 12 education and a Building Service Worker certificate, along with a minimum of one year’s custodial experience. Strong planning and teamwork abilities and knowledge of safety systems are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage custodial work schedules
• Assign tasks to custodial staff for efficiency
• Maintain cleanliness across all building areas




• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely
• Communicate maintenance needs to school administration
Requirements:
• High school diploma and Building Service Worker certificate
• One year of custodial experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull heavier objects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
