We are currently recruiting an experienced Production Manager to join our team supporting our client in the automotive industry.RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to the Plant Manager you will provide leadership for all production personnel on all shifts; monitor the progress ofall manufacturing departments to ensure quality, safety and volume targets are metEnsuring the operating team's goals are aligned with, and representative of the overall plant's directiveAct as liaison between team members and the rest of the organization (Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Human Resources, and other operational leaders)Utilize World Class Manufacturing, 5S and Lean principles to drive quality, safety, productivity and reduce wasteDelegate, Direct, Guide, and Coach Production Supervisors within various departments; developing a productiveteam through effective leadershipParticipate in the review and recommendation of capital improvement expenditures as they relate to operationsReport quality non-conformance in a timely manner and ensure corrective action is taken, work closely with Quality to develop corrective action requests for customersEnsure production personnel conduct work in a safe manner, where applicable safety equipment,



follow policies/procedures and take corrective action or timely discipline where necessaryEnsure HR Policies are followed and Collective Agreement Procedures are followed while fostering positive labour relations between all levels of operations and with employees of other departmentsREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Effective leader with above-average management and supervisory skillsExperience in automotive manufacturing procedures and policiesWorking knowledge of World Class Manufacturing principles and 5S, Lean principles and IATF 16949 standards.University Degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or related areaMinimum of seven (7) years manufacturing experienceMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in manufacturingExperience in a unionized environmentA detailed understanding of budgeting, efficiencies, uptime, yield, problem-solving techniques, motivational techniques, and long-range planningAn overall process knowledge of the manufacturing processExcellent oral and written communication skills. possess a good work attitude, excellent personal time management and organizational skills, andMust be able to independently organize shop floor to meet defined schedules with products meeting company quality standards, in a safe work environmentCOMPENSATION:$110,000 - $140,000 / year (depending on experience) + bonus and benefitsMEDA offers an excellent referral bonus.
