Counsellor – Addiction, Problem Gambling & Behavioural Addictions Direct Service - (OPSEU) Full-Time, Permanent (Benefitted) This posting is the result of a current vacancy London and St. Thomas Ontario (London & Elgin Zones) Application Deadline: April 27, 2026 This is a front-line, clinical position providing initial intake, screening, assessment, and community treatment to groups and individuals experiencing addiction and mental health concerns. This position is primarily geared to individuals with concerns related to gambling, technology, and hypersexuality, however experience in the substance use field is also required to support individuals with co‑occurring concerns. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING: What you’ll be making: Starting rate for this role is $30.01 per hour for Level 1 – Direct Service, Regulated Successful candidates who are registered with one of the designated qualified colleges (e.G. OCSWSSW, CNO, COTO, CRPO, CPSO, or CPO) will receive the wage differential for regulation. Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8 ($37.26 per hour for regulated); for internal applicants, grid level placement will occur as per the Collective Agreement. Premiums of $2.00 will be applied for eligible evening/night and weekend shifts. When you’ll work: 70 hours biweekly; Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm,



with the inclusion of one evening shift 12pm-8pm on Monday or Tuesday. Your pension plan: Immediately enrolled in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
