About Our Client

Job Description
- Leading and mentoring Project Managers, Superintendents, and procurement teams to ensure strong project delivery and team performance.
- Overseeing budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and contract execution while managing financial risks and cost controls.
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and construction progress to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with project goals.
- Ensuring compliance with Ontario Building Code, safety regulations, permits, and quality standards.
- Driving schedule performance through milestone tracking, critical path management, and proactive issue resolution.
- Managing stakeholder relationships including consultants, contractors, municipalities, and internal leadership.
- Supporting project closeout, occupancy readiness, and warranty programs to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Director of Construction should have:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in construction, including senior project management or leadership roles.
- Robust experience in high-density residential construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Solid understanding of Ontario Building Code and regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership capability managing cross-functional teams including PMs, site teams, and consultants.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with construction software tools such as Procore, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
- Relevant post-secondary education; professional designations (PMP, P.Eng., Gold Seal, CET) are considered an asset.
