We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a dynamic environment, providing therapeutic support to children and families. This role involves collaborating with others and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to each youth's needs. The Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality services, while ensuring the well-being of those we serve.
Duties
- Implement the individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Provide 1:1 therapy sessions to children, focusing on language, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
- Maintain accurate and detailed data records of youth's progress, treatment plans, and outcomes
- Stay informed about the latest research in therapy practices relevant to ABA and special education.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Able to travel between our 2 centres to provide 1:1 therapy
Skills
- Solid understanding of Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis
- Experience working with children with ASD/ special needs
- Proficiency in data collection methods for tracking/assessing progress.
- Ability to implement treatment approaches and interventions.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and other professionals.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to improving the lives of children
- Valid driver’s license (above G1) with access to a vehicle is an asset
- Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Please note that this role doesn't provide the requirements for PR status due to being a subcontract position
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
