Role: Intermediate Accountant The Company:

Based in Toronto we are a small team focused on operational efficiencies and supporting store success.

Summary: We are growing and adding a new position. We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join the accounting department, reporting to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities and Performance Expectations:

· Reconcile Bank accounts for multiple companies

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts including intercompany accounts

· Upload sales from internal systems and third party systems ensuring any discounts, fees and refunds are properly recorded

· Calculate and submit sales reports for royalties to corporate office

· Prepare journal entries for prepaid expenses and inter-company charges

· Prepare monthly HST/GST/QST & WSIB returns

· Maintain Fixed Assets continuity schedule and prepare year-end adjustments

· Prepare journal entries for rent and other overhead costs split among multiple companies

· Prepare month end accruals for key expense accounts

· Provide year and audit documentation and reports





What we’re looking for:

· Strong interpersonal skills – attention to details

· Excellent communication both written and verbal

· Bilingual in French an asset

· Ability to work effectively as part of a hardworking team

· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

· Proficiency with Excel

· Experience with intercompany entries an asset

· Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting programs an asset

Educational requirements:

- University degree or College certificate/diploma

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
