We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Interior Designer to join our design team. The Intermediate Interior Designer will support and contribute to projects from concept development through completion, with increasing responsibility for design development, documentation, FF&E; selection, and project coordination.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of interior design principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role is well suited for a designer who is ready to take greater ownership of their work while continuing to develop their technical, creative, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in developing interior design concepts, presentations, space plans, material palettes, and design packages.
- Develop design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, details, schedules, and specifications.
- Support the selection and specification of FF&E;, finishes, lighting, accessories, and decorative elements.
- Prepare design presentations, mood boards, material boards, and client-facing materials.
- Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain samples, pricing, product information, and technical documentation.
- Review shop drawings, samples, and submittals for design intent, quality, and accuracy.
- Assist with project coordination between designers, architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, site visits, and project reviews.
- Conduct site visits and assist with field verification, punch lists, and resolution of design-related issues.
- Maintain accurate project documentation,



specifications, finish schedules, and FF&E; information throughout the design process.
- Assist with project budgets, pricing, procurement, and tracking of design-related costs.
- Manage assigned project tasks and deliverables while meeting established schedules and deadlines.
- Identify potential design, documentation, or coordination issues and communicate them proactively to the project lead.
- Stay current with hospitality, commercial, and interior design trends, materials, products, and industry standards.
- Support and collaborate with junior designers, sharing knowledge and providing guidance when appropriate.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of professional interior design experience , preferably within hospitality, commercial, or multi-unit residential design.
- Strong understanding of interior design principles, space planning, materials, FF&E;, and construction documentation.
- Experience taking projects through multiple phases of design, from concept development through documentation and implementation.
- Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs.
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills.




- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers.
- Understanding of construction methods, building materials, and interior detailing.
- Experience with FF&E; specifications, vendor coordination, and procurement is an asset.

Preferred Experience
- Hospitality design experience, including hotel guestrooms, public areas, restaurants, and amenity spaces.
- Experience working with hotel brands, franchise standards, or brand design guidelines.
- Experience with custom FF&E; development and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with project budgets, procurement processes, and vendor negotiations.
- Experience participating in site inspections and construction administration.
- Knowledge of accessibility requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
