The Opportunity (Vacancy: New Headcount) Reporting to the Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Accounting and Reporting is responsible for leading complex accounting functions, financial reporting and compliance activities within the Financial Accounting and Reporting Division. This role provides technical accounting expertise, supports internal controls, ensures regulatory compliance and contributes to financial statement preparation and audit. The role requires ongoing collaboration and communication within Finance and across departments, along with financial leadership for current initiatives, service enhancements, and changes to departmental operations. All work must ensure compliance with Town internal controls, policies, and applicable legislation,



standards and municipal processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting corporate reporting requirements, and advancing process improvements both across the corporation and within the division. This position also works on special projects related to its mandate as assigned. As the Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting & Financial Reporting, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to: Support preparation of year-end financial statements in accordance with Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB). Prepare the annual Financial Information Returns (FIR). Support the annual external audit process, including preparation of working papers and responses to audit inquiries.
