Intermediate Electrical Designer
Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services. GLE's specialties include natural gas processing, CCUS (carbon capture, utilization and sequestration) and power generation.
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Designer to join our Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls team. The position is an integral technical resource of the EIC Team leading and/or supporting challenging and innovative projects in natural gas, oil, fractionation, carbon sequestration, hydrogen generation, power generation, and transmission projects.
As a member of our EIC Design team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:
- Participate in delivering quality electrical design and packages as part of the EIC team.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to engineering and designers in the production of engineering drawings.
- Provide great value to our customers through technically strong and efficient work.
- Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, and project team members.
- Coordinate effectively between engineering and drafting disciplines.
- Design and develop electrical systems using CAD software in accordance with industry standards.
- Support project planning and execution to ensure designs are delivered on schedule.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) program or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of EPC experience in electrical design or drafting.
- Experience in oil and gas or process facilities is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication and technical skills.
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a quick-paced environment.
- Occasional travel to facilities may be required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
