Role Description
As an Intern Game Designer at Semico, you will help shape the mechanics, systems, and player experience of our first mobile title. This is a part-time, remote role with flexible working hours. Your day-to-day tasks will include contributing to core gameplay mechanics, balancing gameplay systems, designing in-game events, drafting and refining design documentation, playtesting builds, and presenting ideas and feedback to the team.
You will learn through the resources and mentorship we provide, with room to grow your responsibilities as you do.
Qualifications
Passion for playing and analyzing games, with the ability to articulate why a game works or doesn't
Basic understanding of game mechanics and player experience
Creative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to present ideas effectively
Fast learner who is open to feedback and eager to improve
Responsible and reliable, with the ability to manage your own time in a remote, flexible setting
Interest in mobile game design and free-to-play systems is an asset
No professional experience or formal education in game design required
