Duties and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Manager, Partnerships and Pathways, the International Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies to attract and enroll international undergraduate and graduate students through current and existing international recruitment partnerships. The incumbent facilitates engagement with authorized recruitment partners, supports partner onboarding and training, ensures accurate and timely program and admissions information is shared, and serves as a liaison between recruitment agencies and undergraduate and graduate admissions teams. The incumbent supports undergraduate and graduate partner-focused recruitment efforts through trusted partnerships.

Flexible work hours including working evenings and weekends will be required.

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Exceptional organization skills to support business relationships with overseas recruitment agencies and in-country representatives, support training and guidance on admissions criteria and requirements, and support assessment of partnership success.
- Strong knowledge of Carleton University, the University’s academic programs, structure and admission and recruitment practices at the undergraduate and graduate level, and international education systems.
- The ability to act professionally and tactfully interact with external stakeholders, including agents and in-country representatives, in a timely and respectful manner.
- Capable of effectively organizing and handling a heavy workload; working independently using positive judgment; ability to take initiative.
- Flexible work hours including working evenings and weekends will be required.
- A high energy level, patience, and flexibility.
- Effectively work as a member of a team and support the training,



motivating and coaching of agent partners and in-country representatives.
- Excellent communication and writing skills required for compiling reports and demonstrated intercultural communication skills for interacting with a diverse population.
- Strong understanding of international recruitment landscape emerging changes and the ability to learn and keep up to date.
- The incumbent must have the ability to work towards and receive and maintain an immigration advising certification (RCIC or RISIA).
- English language fluency is required. Proficiency in another language, although not mandatory, is a strong asset.

Education and Experience: The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Completion of a university degree or equivalent.
- Five years of experience in recruitment, admissions or student support, including 2 years of international post-secondary experience. Strong preference given to candidates holding RCIC or RISIA immigration advising credentials.
