Position Summary
This onsite position combines desktop, and systems support with administrative assistance for clinic operations.
You as IT User/Desktop Analyst will serve as the primary technical point of contact within the clinic environment, ensuring that workstations, networks, and clinical systems run efficiently, while supporting key administrative processes.
This role bridges technology and operations, helping ensure clinic staff stay productive and patient care remains uninterrupted.
Key Responsibilities
A. IT / Desktop / Systems Support
- Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals, printers, and scanners.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows; macOS/Linux familiarity a plus) and clinic applications.
- Image and deploy workstations; manage updates, patches, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues (wired, Wi-Fi, VPN).
- Monitor and maintain local infrastructure: cabling, switches, network jacks, and clinic network connectivity.
- Manage user accounts and permissions (Active Directory, Azure AD).
- Coordinate support for EMR/EHR and clinical systems with IT and vendor partners.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and recommend lifecycle replacements.
- Document processes, SOPs, and user guides for clinic IT systems.
- Support technology rollouts, upgrades, and pilot projects.
- Perform periodic system maintenance and on-site troubleshooting across Greater Vancouver clinics.
B. Administrative & Clinic Operations Support
- Support onboarding/offboarding: system setup, account access, and orientation.
- Act as liaison between clinic staff and IT/vendor teams to coordinate downtime, updates, or training.
- Prepare reports, presentations, or dashboards on clinic IT usage and performance.
- Help with audits and compliance, gather logs, usage stats, and documentation.
- Support procurement and tracking of equipment, including physical setup and desk reconfiguration.
- Manage administrative systems (scheduling, billing, or practice management tools).
- Provide staff training and user support on IT systems and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Education / Experience
- Diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of hands-on IT desktop support experience.
- Experience in healthcare, clinical, or other regulated environments preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of desktop hardware, components, and peripherals.
- Proficient in Windows; familiarity with macOS or Linux an advantage.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi-Fi).
- Experience imaging/deploying devices and managing software update (Intune)
- Understanding of identity and access management (Active Directory, Azure AD).
- Scripting/automation skills (e.g. PowerShell) an asset.
- Strong documentation and procedural writing ability.

Working Conditions
- Regular movement within clinic environments (standing, bending, accessing cables, etc.).
- Lifting and transporting moderately heavy IT equipment.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance or upgrades.
Performance Metrics
- Timely ticket response and resolution rates.
- Uptime and availability of clinic systems.
- Reduction of recurring technical issues.
- Positive user satisfaction and feedback.
- Accuracy of IT asset tracking and documentation.
- Compliance with IT security and change management practices.
Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
