JA in Saskatchewan operates as part of JA Canada (JACAN) who is a member of JA Worldwide. JA Canada has been providing financial literacy, workplace readiness and entrepreneurship programs in partnership with the Canadian education system since 1955. Designed to inspire, prepare and help youth succeed, JA provides more than 500,000 learning experiences to youth across Canada annually.

JA in Saskatchewan currently reaches approximately 12% of youth in grades 3-12 across the province, with a goal to increase reach across the province, and focused efforts on identifying and building relations in un and underserved areas, including Indigenous and rural communities.

Junior Achievement Saskatchewan is seeking an organized, energetic, and community-minded Program Coordinator, in Rural Saskatchewan to serve as JA's primary ambassador in rural communities, creating opportunities for students to access experiential learning programs that build financial literacy, work readiness, entrepreneurship, and economic understanding. The Manager will also explore creative delivery models to engage rural and distance-learning students and assess opportunities for new rural-focused initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Rural Outreach and School Engagement

- Identify and engage new rural schools, educators, school divisions, and distance-learning providers across Saskatchewan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, administrators, career counsellors, and education leaders.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase awareness, participation, and access to JA programs in rural and remote communities.
- Represent JA at education, community, and stakeholder events throughout rural Saskatchewan.

Program Delivery and Growth

- Deliver JA financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to students in rural communities.
- Identify opportunities to expand program reach and participation across rural Saskatchewan.




- Recruit and support student participation in regional and provincial JA initiatives.
- Collaborate with educators, volunteers, and JA colleagues to ensure high-quality program delivery and participant experiences.

Volunteer and Partnership Development

- Recruit, engage, and support volunteers to strengthen program delivery in rural communities.
- Build strategic relationships with community leaders, businesses, post-secondary institutions, and economic development organizations.
- Identify sponsorship, partnership, and volunteer opportunities that support program growth and sustainability.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to align outreach and partnership efforts with organizational priorities.

Innovative and Distance Learning Solutions

- Promote JA programming to distance-learning students and online education providers.
- Identify and implement virtual, hybrid, and technology-enabled delivery models that increase access for students in remote communities.
- Explore innovative partnerships and approaches that strengthen rural program delivery and engagement.

Rural Program Innovation

- Assess the feasibility of introducing new initiatives, including a rural mobile Finance Park experience, and provide recommendations for implementation.
- Identify emerging needs, trends, and opportunities in rural Saskatchewan that align with JA's mission and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- Post-secondary education in education, business, communications, community development, marketing, or a related field.
- Experience in relationship-building, business development, education, community outreach, or program development is preferred.
- Experience working with rural communities or the education sector is considered an asset.

Knowledge and Skills





- Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong presentation and public-speaking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Knowledge of Saskatchewan's education landscape is an asset.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout rural Saskatchewan.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Vulnerable Sector Check required with offer of employment.

Success Measures

- Growth in the number of rural schools, teachers, and school divisions engaged with JA.
- Increased participation of rural students in JA programs and events.
- Expansion of Company Program, Investment Strategies Program, AI programs, and Economics for Success in rural communities.
- Increased engagement of distance-learning students.
- Successful assessment and development of a Rural Finance Park opportunity.
- Development of strong partnerships that support JA's mission and long-term growth.
