Job Title: Site Supervisor

Portfolio Focus:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for managing and providing leadership to facilities with custodial service teams and related facility service teams while supervising all daily activities. They are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the facility and their service team, adequate staffing levels, quality service levels and attending to related client requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily
- Supervise all daily operations and monitor site performance
- Ensure the service team meets quality standards based on the scope of work
- Ensure staffing levels are adequate
- Ensure team members are trained based on standard operating procedures
- Liaise with Property Management and key stakeholders on any operational requirement, changes and/or updates
- Ensure daily cleaning and washrooms logs are completed
Weekly
- Ensure the site schedule is completed and communicated to the client and the team
- Assess staffing levels and make recommendations on any changes
- Perform supplier orders and put in equipment repair/maintenance requests
- Attend any site related operations, client, or company meetings
Monthly
- Perform site supply audits and verify the correct delivery of all site supplies.
- Note and complete any additional work requests outside of the scope of work
- Check monthly service hours balance and develop staffing plan accordingly
Periodic
- Ensure the cleaning team has completed regulatory training such as WHMIS, Bloodborne pathogens, etc.
- Ensure that WorkSafe/Worker’s Compensation Board regulations are fully complied with as it relates to health and safety
Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager, Key Stakeholders, or Senior Leadership Team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven experience overseeing janitorial or custodial teams in a commercial or industry setting.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team of service staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to oversee daily operations, ensuring quality and efficiency of service deliverables
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with proactive approach to addressing and resolving operational issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, especially in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in managing supplies and inventory, including ordering, auditing, and maintaining equipment
- Skilled in training staff according to established standard operating procedures and ensuring continuous development
- Comfortable using basic computer software (MS Office) for scheduling, reporting, and communication purposes
