Position: Java Backend Developer - AI Tools & Agentic AI

Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with AI Tools/Agentic AI experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade backend systems. The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in Java, distributed systems, and modern AI development tools.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java.
- Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems and production-grade services.
- Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Work with relational and document-oriented databases.
- Develop and maintain solutions in Linux/Unix environments, including scripting.
- Develop and integrate Agentic AI solutions and AI development tools into backend applications.




- Follow Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and code-quality best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.
- Strong experience with Core Java, distributed systems, and system design.
- Solid understanding of DSA and software design patterns.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, scripting, and databases.
- Hands-on experience with Agentic AI development and AI tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
