Why is guest registration mandatory in Spain?

Royal Decree 933/2021 requires all holiday rental operators to submit guest ID data to SES Hospedajes within 24 hours of arrival. Non-compliance carries significant fines.

What happens if a guest makes a mistake during self-registration?

Our team reviews every submission before sending it to the authorities. We catch errors and contact guests directly to correct them — giving you a 99% first-attempt success rate.

Is my data and my guests' data secure?

Yes. All data handling complies with GDPR and Spanish data protection law. We never share personal data with third parties.

Can Villa Check In integrate with my PMS?

What languages does Villa Check In support?

What is SES Hospedajes?

The Spanish government's mandatory guest registration system for all tourist accommodation, introduced December 2024 to replace the old Guardia Civil platforms.

Every SES.Hospedajes region in Spain

Guest registration is a legal duty nationwide under Royal Decree 933/2021, but where you file it depends on the region. We file for you in every community that uses SES.Hospedajes — 15 of the 17, plus Ceuta and Melilla. Catalonia and the Basque Country use their own regional police platforms, which we do not submit to; select either one and we will point you to the right portal. Digital certificates are available anywhere in Spain.
