Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ironworker to join our commercial construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing structural steel and reinforcement components on various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools.
The Ironworker will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, stability, and integrity of building structures through precise installation and assembly steel frameworks, and related components.
Responsibilities
- Install and assemble structural steel frameworks according to blueprints and schematics
- Operate lifts and work at heights in the connecting of steel members
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and scaffolding to complete tasks efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials regularly
- Willing and able to occasionally work out of town jobs
Experience
- Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar commercial construction role involving steel installation
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment operation and maintenance
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on scaffolding or structural frameworks
- Prior knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols is essential

- Fall Protection safety ticket
- Elevated work platform ticket
- CSTS 2020 ticket
- Own harness, lanyard, ironworking tools and toolbelt
- Own reliable transportation
