Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyperson B Pressure Welder for a permanent role in our Edmonton shop fabrication facility. In this role, you will focus exclusively on the fabrication, layout, and welding of carbon steel pressure piping, vessels, and spools. This position will utilize Flux-Cored, Stick, and MIG processes. This position offers a highly lucrative, stable schedule with no field travel required.

Core Responsibilities

- Weld carbon steel pressure equipment, vessels, and piping according to ASME codes.





- Utilize multiple processes including FCAW (Flux-Cored), SMAW (Stick), and GMAW (MIG) on carbon steel materials.

- Complete fabrication tasks including vessel layout, nozzle fit-ups, and grinding/gouging.

- Read and accurately interpret blueprint drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Valid Alberta Grade "B" Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency (issued by ABSA).

- Journeyperson Welder Trade Certificate or Red Seal endorsement.

- Ability to successfully pass a mandatory internal 6G carbon steel weld test using Flux, Stick, and MIG.

- Proven experience working in a shop fabrication setting.

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour
